Why we let go of our own photo studio and use Peerspace instead - Jada And David Parrish
Why we let go of our own photo studio and use Peerspace instead

Why sign a long-term lease on one photo studio when you can choose from thousands?! For six years, David and I had our own photo studio. It was nice to have a place of our own, but it also came with a ton of added expenses. In addition to high monthly rent, we also had to pay for internet, utilities, furnishings, and insurance. The cost of having our own studio added up quickly and for years there was really not a better option. Thanks to a handy website called Peerspace, now there is!

Peerspace is a website that allows you to rent spaces by the hour. You can rent unique spaces to use for weddings, events, parties, and most importantly YOU CAN RENT PHOTO STUDIOS BY THE HOUR. Peerspace has studios for rent in cities all over the world - from big cities like Paris and New York to smaller ones like our sleepy little city of Richmond, Virginia. There are so many unique and interesting spaces to choose from at a variety of sizes and price points. You can rent photo studios for as little as one hour.

Here's how Peerspace describes themselves in their own words:

"Peerspace opens doors to rentable spaces in cities around the world, from photo studios and meeting rooms, to backyards and bars. Our peer-owned global network of spaces allows guests to hold personal and professional events in unique locations, while hosts earn additional income simply by opening their doors."

David and I made the decision to let go of our own photo studio because we could rent spaces off of Peerspace for a fraction of what we were paying in rent. It has allowed us to travel more for our photoshoots because we know that we can always find an affordable studio to rent no matter what city we happen to be shooting in.

I really want to spread the word to other photographers who are in need of some studio space and don't want to spend a fortune on rent each month. Using Peerspace has completely changed our business model. The booking process is incredibly simple and every host we have worked with so far has been responsive and kind. This website really is a godsend to photographers everywhere!
