Room With Chair Conceptual Photo Shoot

This blog post is a part of our 100 set project! Set 40/100. Click here to learn more.

Set 40 was a shoot created by happenstance. We didn't have a solid vision in mind like we did for some of our other shoots. One piece came together, and then we kept adding to the puzzlel until we had a fully formed concept.

Creativity is interesting. It doesn't come to you the same way every time, and it really has a mind of its own. It is so much bigger and powerful than us. It's like riding a wave. The wave is going to come. You can choose to catch it and ride it out or let it crash around you and disappear.

This set started with the paint color, and we built the shoot around that. Room With Chair tells a story of defeat. It depicts how negative thoughts and a bad attitude can completely derail you. The murky yellow paint color represents toxic energy. Negative energy runs rampant, and we have to be so mindful of our mental state and attitude inorder to overpower its tight grasp.
