Retro 60s Inspired Forced Perspective Stage Photo Shoot

This blog post is a part of our 100 set project! Set 7/100. Click here to learn more.

This is probably one of our favorite sets. It also happened really early on in our 100 set project. This retro 60s stage was set 7/100. Seeing this vision come to life so clearly really encouraged us to keep going and push ourselves because we were both blown away by what we had created.

A lot of artists are forced to have a day job to help pay the bills while pursuing their artistic dreams. The concept behind this photo set is an artist's daydream. Daydreams exist in a special space somewhere between reality and dreamland. We wanted to create a dark space with streaks of light that felt surreal. We designed a forced perspective stage with 60s striping. The mop in this photo set represents reality. In real life Isabella is mopping the floor at her day job, but in her imagination she is on stage performing for a crowd. She is neither here nor there.

Isabella truly embodied the rockstar in the making persona and brought our vision to life. This shoot is for all of the dreamers out there. Keep dreaming. Keep going. You are closer than you think.
