Our very good friend, Harley, was having a birthday party in Los Angeles, and we wanted to do something extra special for it - so us being us - we decided to design and create a custom set for her birthday party.
We drove the set all the way from Richmond, VA to Los Angeles, CA for to do live photoshoots on at the party. Our friend Nick came along for the 42 hour 2,721 mile adventure. From crazy thunderstorms in Kansas to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the red rocks of Utah, we saw it all. We even made a pit stop at the Vegas strip, but nothing could compare to the excitement of finally making it to LA just in time for Harley's birthday.
The set was a hit, and we spent the night taking wild, conceptual photos at the party. But the adventure didn't end there. The next day, we headed to Joshua Tree for some serious desert vibes, relaxation, and epic photo ops. I captured so many moments on film that I had to remind myself it wasn't a dream. Trust me, if you haven't been to Joshua Tree yet, add it to your bucket list ASAP.
After a few days of soaking up the sun and hanging with friends, it was time to start our journey back home. We took the middle route, which may not have been the most scenic, but it was definitely an adventure. We even had a close call with a tornado, but nothing could stop us. We drove for a whopping 30 hours straight on day two of the trip, pushing through the exhaustion with pure adrenaline.
Finally, we arrived back in Richmond, VA, feeling equal parts exhilarated and exhausted. We had stories to share and so memories to cherish. It may have been a long and tiring journey, but it was worth every moment.
