Welcome to shoot #3! Exploring emotions through color has been a big focus for us the past few months. With this series, we took things a step further and allowed ourselves to explore identity or more accurately, a "loss of identity" through color as well.

We purchased matching tights + gloves in lilac purple, then used a Nix Color Sensor to find a paint color that perfectly matched. We selected Dahlia by Sherwin Williams.

David built a purple cube, matching bench, and we painted everything the same shade of purple.

This was the first shoot where the set had a ceiling. In order to light the set, David cut a hole the exact size of the soft box so the the ceiling light could serve as the key light for the shoot and beautifully light the subject.

Concealing identity and shaping the body into sculptural poses was the primary focus. We wanted the body to become the work of art. We were so intrigued by this concept that we continued the series with 3 other colors as well.
